Studio Workshops

  • Ann is an inspirational teacher, happy to share all her wealth of experience of botancial art using pencils and coloured pencils. She teaches her own methods of working to produce vibrant, detailed botanical drawings. As well as introducing colour pencil techniques the courses encourage accuracy of line and observation. Ann welcomes both the beginner and the more experienced on her workshops. Courses tend to get booked up quickly so to secure a place make a provisional booking.
  • Ann's studio, set in a delightful walled garden, is in Rowde near the old market town of Devizes in a beautiful part of Wiltshire. The studio is equipped with drawing boards, clip on magnifying glasses, a light box, lamps and over-hand camera and screen to view Ann's demonstrations and digital microscope.
  • A delicious, freshly prepared buffet lunch, plus cake, biscuits, teas and coffee are all included.

Highly regarded calligraphic artist Caroline Keevil will be joining us on the final morning to give advice and guidance on signatures; style and placement, plus lettering for plant titles and labelling.  Caroline studied with the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society (CLAS) and the Society of Scribes and Illuminators (SSI) and as well as producing her own work she teaches a range of workshops from her new studio here in Rowde.’

Gordon Burns from Skylight Publishing is happy to advise on printing so bring along any finished work you might be considering publishing either as prints or cards.
