Studio Workshops

Ann teaches her own methods of working with pencil and coloured pencil to produce vibrant, detailed botanical drawings. As well as introducing colour pencil techniques the courses encourage accuracy of line and observation. Ann welcomes both the beginner and the more experienced on her courses. Courses tend to get booked up quickly so to secure a place make a provisional booking.

3 - 4 June	Pushing the Boundaries - improving your composition Suitable for any students with a basic knowledge of coloured pencil techniques plus students who have done Focus on Composition.
1 - 2 July	Tricky Colours – Whites & Yellows Suitable for improvers
8-9 July	Basic Coloured Pencil Techniques - Beginners Suitable for students with no previous experience of working with coloured pencils.
2-3 Sept	Summer Fruits - Bloom, leaves, composition Beginners & Improvers

17 - 18 Feb	Two-day Beginners Basic colour pencil technique.
3 - 4 March	Focus on Spring Bulbs – Roots, Leaves, Yellows & Whites
18 - 19 March	Focus on Pencil Drawing - Improvers Aimed at students wishing to improve their tonal drawing and accuracy of line.
21 - 22 April	Focus on Tulips - Strong Colours and Forms Looking at single, double and parrot tulips.
5 - 6 May	Rhododendrons and Early Irises
9 - 10 June	Working from Photographs Photographing, lighting and colour matching. Everything you need to know about working from photographs in the field.

One-day workshops with lunch, coffee and tea
These are suitable for all levels of ability, enabling students to work on compositions of their own choice.
